Students from the CRICKETS classroom participated in the First Lego League's Bash at the Beach competion on Nov. 14th. Students had to build and program a robot as well as give a presentation on global climate change.

PTO functions: This Thursday from 2:45-4 there will be a Sports Night for 5th & 6th graders. Admission for Sports night is a dry food or canned good for the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center, but those who cannot bring something will not be turned away. also on Thursday night there will be a MMS family taco dinner from 4-6 PM in the cafeteria. This is open to all families. Admission for adults is $5, children $3, and there is a family max of $15.
St Jude Mathathon: A special thank you goes out to all the St Jude Mathathon participants. Thanks for your hard work and for helping so many children who are sick. It's time to collect your pledges and your prizes. Please finish those math problems and collect your pledges now. Money is due to your homeroom teacher by Friday January 9. Thanks again for helping make this year's mathathon a great success. |

MMS FALL SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR........DON'T MISS OUT!
Our Fall Book fair will start on Monday, October 20th and run through Friday, October 24th. We are open during school hours, 8AM-2:30PM each day. Also, mark your calendars for Family Night, on Wed. Oct. 22, when the book fair will also be open from 5-8pm. Parents, grandparents, friends and relatives are always welcome anytime during the school day. Just check in at the office and come on down to the Auxiliary Gym!

Governor M. Jodi Rell welcomed the MMS Jazz Band to the Governor's Mansion before the holidays. The band performed some of their favorites for Mrs. Rell while assembled on a staircase. In this video, she thanks members of the band. |
